Beveco supplies and implements the automation for heat and cold storage (ATES).

An ATES saves energy from the building and/or the environment in the soil, in an aquifer (an aqueous sand and/or gravel layer). An aquifer is naturally present in the soil. In winter, the building is heated by a heat pump that extracts heat from the pumped up ground water from the hot water storage. The groundwater cools down and is pumped back into the cold source. In the summer, this cooled water is used again for passive cooling. The water thus heated up is returned to the hot spring. Thanks to this cycle, you can generate energy in a sustainable way for the heating and cooling of your building.

The advantages of an ATES

Sustainable

The Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) installation uses heat and cold from the soil. This source is available continuously, day and night. The installation is a fixed investment for the owner and offers users reduced and stable fixed and variable loads.

Futureproof Energy Label

With an Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) you can easily meet the future Energy Label C obligation for offices. ATES is a very economical system, with which you have a very good basis for energy neutrality.

Comfortable

An Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) installation is the exchange system for heat and cold. At low temperature the system provides heat, at high temperature cooling. End users experience this as very comfortable.

(Energy) Efficient

An Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) uses free renewable heat and cold from the soil that is enhanced using a heat pump. This makes the installation extremely energy efficient.

Integration with other (building) systems

For Beveco it is easy to link an Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) to an existing system, without disturbing your business. The integration of the ATES and other systems creates an efficient comfort system for your building(s).

Comfort with an Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES)

For homes and buildings, the generation of heat and cooling with heat pumps is on the rise. These types of installations are often used in combination with low temperature delivery systems such as floor heating or cooling for optimum comfort. ATES installations can be used for the generation of heat and cooling, resulting in a considerable energy saving.
